    its mostly likely a scam
because most mystery shops only pay you after you complete the shop not before and not one shop pay you $300.00
    in the first place
I’m mystery shopper myself and most I get is about $10.00
    after completing the shop

I would check this out carefully before I gave them even my phone number. Call your local stores and see if they ever have Mystery shoppers in their stores . They will know. I have 3 friends who work retail management for large and well known companies and they have told me that their companies have done away with the mystery shopper concept over the last 6 months or so due to the economy. I know of only one store that still does this and they recruit people to do this and they only work their mystery shoppers twice because the store retailers can usually pick out these people fairly quickly. Just be careful about what you reveal and if sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

    SCAM/FRAUD

they’ll send you a check indeed.
but that check will be cashed and then you will have a serious problem when you spend it, trust me I’ve had some bad experiences.
